הרצל 16

The decor and sound hints at Herzl 16’s second life: evenings of live performances by top musicians, and sets of live DJs on weekends.

When Rothschild 12, our cafe & bar, closed its doors in December 2017 Tel Avivians mourned.
Our only consolation was the confidence that its next incarnation would top the one we had loved for a decade. And we rejoiced a few days later when it was reborn a couple of blocks away, as Herzl 16.
Herzl street is Tel Aviv’s oldest.
Crowded, colorful and eccentric. A gateway leads into a foyer, which spills into a one-of-a-kind inner courtyard,
dominated by the construction of the first elevator in Tel Aviv. Here, in the heart of a 1921 four-story landmark
building, stylish locals sip coffee in a shabby-chic cafe. They snack on pastries, enjoy Japanese-influenced food or relax
over a hearty brunch on weekends.
Walking through the courtyard, one senses a distinct European vibe, some feel a whiff of Berlin, others the scent of Rome or Paris. Inside awaits an elegant, incredibly well-stocked, bar and bistro.

This chameleon-like enterprise, adapting itself to the crowds from early morning to the wee small hours of the night, is Tel Aviv at its best
