Welcome to Hotel Montefiore, our beautifully restored, 12-room boutique hotel & award-winning restaurant in the heart of Tel Aviv. We opened in 2008 after an exhaustive three-year restoration, determined to create the city’s first intimate, boutique hotel experience.  Since then, our passion for and commitment to classic hospitality has never wavered. Hotel Montefiore delivers authentic luxury, devoted service and timeless style, nevermind the trends or gimmicks. Inspired by stays at the finest properties around the world, we created Hotel Montefiore for travellers seeking an elegant respite with a distinctly Tel Avivian spin. 

Built in 1922, Hotel Montefiore was once an Eclectic architecture-style private residence in the historic neighborhood now referred to as “Lev HaIr” or “Heart of the City”.  Today, the feeling of home remains unmistakable upon walking through our doors.  Before ascending to one of Hotel Montefiore’s 12 elegantly dressed rooms, guests are greeted by the bustling scene at our namesake lobby restaurant & bar. Jazz music, the cling of fine china and the hum of hearty conversation combine to create the hotel’s soundtrack. Dark wood floors, white tablecloths, and oversized vases exploding with crimson roses set the tone for a hospitality experience that is always classic but never stuffy.

RESTAURANT

Our lobby level restaurant is as much a local haunt as it is a dining destination for out-of-town visitors. Serving French cuisine under a Vietnemese spell, Hotel Montefiore’s kitchen is based on seasonal, local ingredients that show off Israel’s fine range of homegrown produce & products. Our wine list was curated by in house sommeliers to feature a range of varietals from both Israeli vineyards and foreign winemakers, while our artisinal cocktail program emphasizes local herbs & bitters. 

Hotel Montefiore is one of the only places in town where you can enjoy a classic martini & tray of oysters the likes of which you’d find in Paris, while also indulging in distinctly Israeli dishes like slow braised lamb and Yemenite pancakes. We’ve drawn inspiration from life changing meals around the world, while never straying from the flavors and preparations that we’ve grown up enjoying. 

Hotel Montefiore serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and high tea seven days a week. Guests of the hotel may enjoy their meals downstairs at the restaurant or delivered to their rooms. Reservations are recommended.
